The X Factor

X Factor: Diana the mime?

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 06:59 PM CDT

God bless the girl and all for having the bravery to stand in front of millions of people with no shoes on none the less, but her hands should be physically restrained or something because all they do is distract her performance and make her look like she's doing a chant. It wasn't as bad as last week but she did have a couple of "Mime" moments tonight.

Diana just let your Alanis Morisette inspired voice do the talking.

GIRLS ALOUD

How lovely was Cheryl’s flat noted? :)

X Factor: Simon a little off tonight and getting old?

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 06:46 PM CDT

I don't know whether anyone else noticed it but Simon just wasn't his old sarcastic and surprisingly positive at the unexpected time self tonight. Well maybe it did show with the occasional "Spanish eye widener" for him, but still there was just something missing from the old Simon tonight.

Even the boo's have calmed to a simmer, but that could be due to the fact that the Michael Jackson themed acts tonight were surprisingly good. Sorry guys I'm still reeling from the whole Hannah catastrophe but I'm recovering with the acts I would have alternated with if she wasn't going to make it.

As for Simon getting old (in Louie's words) I'm just putting it down to stress or maybe it's a discrete tactic for Simon's mind to eliminate the person he's regretting having put through and wants off the show now. Either way I still love Rachel's individual and soulful style.

Start the beat: Who stood out for you tonight?

Hannah Bradbeer

Hannah Bradbeer was totally robbed from a place in the final 12!
She could easily one of the most naturally gifted singers to have ever auditioned for the X-Factor
Cheryl Cole got that totally wrong and I know for fact that I am not the only one who thinks that

x factor jls - a one group fashion show

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 06:13 PM CDT

Jls on the x factor live show week 2 were like looking at a complete fashion show.

Will someone please get to the bottom of where the fashion trend started of wearing a white shirt and skinny tie with a vest? The most current trend is back in style with the jonas bros. but I seem to remember Justin Timberlake wearing the identical style a few years earlier. who was the original boy toy to wear this style?

jls part 1

Ok, so the other guys were trying to wear their thriller leather jackets, and update it with gold printed t-shirts, designer no less. what do the matching wrist bands mean? were they some of the lucky 350 to get a wristband to meet leon jackson at the local centre? Why the wrist watches? Don’t the JLS know what time it is?

pants pulled low, straight cut jeans. suede jacket, kango hat? leather belts with metal inlets. ring on the pinky finger’s. manicured hands and fingernails.

One band who really took this week’s Michael Jackson theme to heart were JLS.

The London-based lad band took the Jacko classic The Way You Make Me Feel and delivered trademark Jackson dance moves combined with a special JLS twist or two.

The four-piece made a good effort with the complex vocal harmonies -and all while they were working on a complicated choreographic moments too!

Well-known Jackson moves - especially from the Thriller vid - peppered the boys’ crowd-pleasing performance. And it’s no surprise these guys can pay homage to Jackson - after all, didn’t the nipper Aston perform on Kids’ Stars In Their Eyes doing a mean version of Rockin’ Robin many years ago?

The studio audience were impressed - and so were the judges, some of whom could hardly contain their excitement!

Dannii agreed the choreography was good but mentioned some “Tuning issues”. Simon swept those aside and told them; “You did a massive number up there and it showed your personality”.

Cheryl told them, “It’s really sad these days where not many people do big performances where you dance and sing. There is definitely a niche in the market for you. The girls at home will be clamouring to vote for you tonight”.

And Louis gave the best Jacko-esque squeal of the night (and although we can’t spell it) it went something like, “I like you much better than Simon. Yeeehey”!

What are your thoughts on this group? Will they be in til the end?

x factor single releases. leon jackson vs. cheryl cole vs. david cole

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 05:59 PM CDT

It seems like everyone wants to release their new single within the same week, plus everone wants x factor center stage time to promote their single. If this was a contest between them, then cheryl cole won out.

I still think the people love leon jackson much more than cheryl “tramp stamp” cole.

what do you think?

x factor - don’t underestimate the irish voting power. predictions for upcoming weeks

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 05:53 PM CDT

the irish vote will keep eoghan quigg alive for a few more weeks, and his talent of course. The other finalists are to much more polished and have a stronger and better sounding voices then eoghan quigg.

I thought eoghan would have been gone by now, but his pure talent has gotten him through so far.

Look for rachel or laura to leave before eoghan quigg.

x factor live show week 3 predictions - daniel evans is going home

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 05:45 PM CDT

Next week you should look for Daniel Evans to be in the bottom two. Daniel will go next week.

If you disagree, let us know!

x factor drama in the I lost my voice department for week 2 live show

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 05:41 PM CDT

Last season in the x factor live show, we went through the leon jackson drama that he also had lost his voice, and may not be able to perform up to his standard if at all. There was even talk that he was going to quit the show over it. Now this season the vocal loss drama is back with alexandra burke. The truth is, if she was at her full potential, then not anyone would be able to compete with her voice. The other finalists should see it as a break that saved them one more week. Many people will be going home before alexandra burke.

Her performance, full of the emotion and the week’s heavy pressures, impressed. What a version! Pumping with attitude, oozing excitement from every pore, she blasted into The X Factor week two - and posted notice that with her versatile voice, she aimed to remain in the comp for many performances more.

Judges Louis called her performance “World Class”, while Dannii agreed her rendition “Propels this show to an international standard”.

Simon tempered the comments by saying it “was a little bit copycat but the second half was fantastic”.

And after a bit of a tete-a-tete with Simon, Cheryl said, “That performance will keep you in”

x factor fashion is king in a wacko jacko week

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 05:34 PM CDT

fashion of wacko jacko week 2

Rachel Hylton goes for a fashion statement in the wacko jacko week 2

Rachel Hylton seemed to be channeling 2 people, with a Tina Turner meets Michael Jackson version of Dirty Diana.

Rachel was wearing a gold biker jacket, that made her look like a rock chick, complete with a rock and roll hairstyle and glittering eye make-up.

She stood on top of a giant sound system which a pair of bare-chested bikers circled at her feet.

The judges were doing their usual shtick of making rude comments about the stage show, and not enough about her performance.

Cheryl called Rachel ‘Annastacia’ and then Simon - who wasn’t impressed by the big performance number either - called her ‘Ruth’! Come on guys, you need to learn this lady’s name!

Simon was so embarrassed he blushed (well, you know, nearly) “I don’t think I can do this anymore, I do apologise”.

Dannii’s offered to organise cue cards next week. Looks like we may need ‘em!

I expect to hear your thoughts on the live show 2 and who sanf the best.

x factor - results for week 2 - girlband is gone

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 05:18 PM CDT

x factor results for week 2 live show of the x factor.

Girlband is out of the competition in 2008. The second group to leave after bad lashes left last week.
With many tears, from many girls in the band, at least one of the girls had a meal with wacko jacko in Bahrain.

We at the x factor won’t be sorry to see Louis Walsh hurt by the loss of one of his team, and found it very peculiar that one of the girls in girlband was visiting Bahrain? Its not a normal tourist destination like disney, but will we ever find out why she went, or the bigger question is, do we really care?

The X Factor’s new format twist, the Song For Survival, kicked in with each act choosing a track which they reckoned would give them the biggest chance to keep them in.

Girlband had to pick a different song from last week. “We’ve picked Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing by Aerosmith…. because we don’t want miss a thing”, said a surprisingly composed Marisa.

Girlband held hands as they stepped onto the stage, and once more were consummately professional as they dried their tears and gave the song everything. They were still in the game.

Ruth opted for Purple Rain; “My favourite song in the world,” she said. she was visibly upset, and shaken, but knew she could work wonders with this track - if she was well.
With a performance like ruth’s it gave people at home a chance to see the wonderful range of this talented singer.

It was between Simon, Dannii and Cheryl, because Louis voted for his team.

Dannii chose ‘her beautiful Ruth’ to stay and send Girlband home.

Cheryl said, “Ruth absolutely nailed it, so I’m going to have to send home Girlband.

Simon wavered greatly and said, “Ruth, you didn’t play to your strengths. I’m going to take this to deadlock”.

now, just ten acts remain in the competition.

Did you agree with the judges’ verdict? Did your favourite act go home? Give your opinion on the comments board below.

x factor austin drage sings michael jacksons hit billie jean but in david cook style

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 02:38 PM CDT

Austin’s drage’s performance tonight of Billie Jean was a complete copy of what David Cook did on American Idol. Even though I think he did really well, I am really surprised by Mentor and x factor judge Simon Cowell going on about being original, when he blatantly copied and stole that arrangement from another contestant.

x factor judges are in trouble with new eyeballs taking notes

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 02:24 PM CDT

The x factor judges need to fix their evil ways:
I believe that the show needs to scrap the whole mentoring/group thing
because the show is turning out to be more about the judges then the contestants.
The judges, especially Simon Cowell who is trying to sabotage the voting and the whole judging process by ruining it for each other, by giving bad critiques in hope that the voters would follow suite.

The show should not be about which judge wins, but about which contestant wins.

The finalists have a god given talent which are being played around with at the x factor live shows.

x factor finalist alexandra burke gets a strong vote from someone who counts

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 02:11 PM CDT

Alexandra Burke,in my opinion is the one to watch!
This girl has an incredible gift, from a brilliant voice to amazing stage presence and oh so humble!
I seriously believe she sang “Listen” better than Beyonce!
She is a true inspiration, that no matter how hard life is,she is willing to fight and never give up on her dream
Kudos to her!

x factor judge dannii minogue is set to have this seasons winner

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 12:42 PM CDT

Graham Norton was heard saying some of the meanest things about dannii minogue the other night. We just wanted to say we disapprove of mr. norton’s dannii abuse.

He hissed: "I really like finalist Rachel Hylton but Dannii is her mentor. That's a bit like tying a ton of cement around your neck. I don't think she will do well."

x factor - laura white stimulating economy with pub extending their two for £10 meals

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 12:36 PM CDT

x factor finalist laura white performed several nights at a pub in atherton, and now they are some of her biggest fans.

REGULARS at the Red Lion pub are backing Atherton singer Laura White in the finals of ITV's The X Factor.

Before appearing on the top-rated show Laura played several gigs at the pub-cum-restaurant in Four Lane Ends.

Manager Adam Griffiths has hung up a banner at the pub urging people to vote for the 21-year-old who made it through the first live final on Saturday.

There is a special corner in the pub dedicated to the talented singer who has wowed audience and judges alike with her fantastic performances.

Adam said: "She is really popular in the pub. She has sung here on five or six occasions and has always gone down very well with the regulars.

"I have put up photos of her and there is a corner where people can watch the show on a TV. It will be available for the next 11 weeks until the grand final.

"I am doing publicity flyers as well as extending our two for £10 meals available during the week to Saturday night for those who bring in a copy of the flyer.

"We really want everyone to get behind Laura and vote for her because she is a great singer, and we all hope she wins The X Factor."

x factor - will beyonce perform on the live show in a duet?

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 12:28 PM CDT

rumours are spreading that beyonce will perform a duet with one of the x factor finalists. do you believe it?

According to the Daily Star 18th October 2008,  Beyonce will be one of the acts performing with the X-Factor 2008 finalists. The Daily Star also states that Simon Cowell has asked Take That to appear on the final show.
On the X-Factor final last year both Kylie Minogue & Katherine Jenkins performed with Leon Jackson and Rhydian Roberts.

The Daily Star quotes one of its source to have said

Simon wants to end the series on a high with two of the world's biggest pop acts.
Last year we had Kylie and Katherine Jenkins performing duets with Leon and Rhydian and this year we want Beyoncé and Take That. It'll be the hottest ticket in town.

x factor - fashion alert - nails give us something else to look at on anorexic cheryl cole

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 12:19 PM CDT

x factor judge cheryl cole has a team of people that make her look stunning every week on the x factor. One of her team is Lucy Tucker, a Nail Technician to the stars.

Lucy has revealed that Cheryl Cole is a fan of 'Oh So Wet' by MAD Beauty. Oh So Wet is a classic top coat which contains acrylic, leaving your nails with an ultra-shine 'wet look'.

If like Cheryl, your schedule is so busy that you don't have time to touch up your nails every day, Oh So Wet is perfect. The secret acrylic ingredient keeps your nails tough and the polish in place for days on end. (This could be the toxic part of nail polish)

Cheryl loves Oh So Wet so much that she has got the rest of Girls Aloud using it too! Did you spot Kimberley's perfectly polished nails on X-Factor last week? You can get her look with Bondai Beach from TOMA by MAD Beauty.

TOMA Nail Polishes cost £6.60.

X FACTOR winner Leona Lewis has been nominated in the Europe's Favourite Act category at the next month's MTV Awards in Liverpool. Bleeding Love was a huge hit, even though the video was reshot to remove the hideous scenes.

She joins Britney Spears, Coldplay and Duffy with three nominations.

Lewis, who won the show in 2006, beat Liverpool trio The Wombats, Adele, Duffy and Ting Tings to reach the European category.

x factor - tattoo alert - cheryl cole will be out of her seat and we will be watching

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 12:07 PM CDT

tattoo alert for the x factor live show #2. Forget what michael jackson song the finalists will be singing, because what people really want to know is which tattoo will be visible on anorexic x factor judge cheryl cole.

will it be the ever present hand tattoo or the all telling tramp stamp or the barbed rose ranch or the name of the adulter on her neck? Perhaps we will finally get a good look of what tattoo is on her bum. Do you think cheryl cole will cover them all up with makeup or show them proudly?

SEXY Cheryl Cole will step out from her judges box to perform on The X Factor tomorrow night.

The brunette beauty, who recently said she would take love and sex over money any day, will leave the comfort of her coveted seat to perform new Girls Aloud single The Promise on the ITV1 show.

The girls will wow the crowd during the tense live results show at 10.10pm, ITV1.

x factor winner leon jackson is bigger back home but Don’t Call This Love

Posted: 18 Oct 2008 11:57 AM CDT

Don't Call This Love - the new single by leon jackson x factor winner last year.

It was very nice of leon jackson to meet with fans and sign copies of the single Don’t call this love, which is taken from his forthcoming album 'Right Now'.

It was the least he could do for fans, who had slept out overnight to secure one of the 350 wristbands to allow them entry to meet their idol.
