Simon Cowell declares Hero for wounded soldiers charity fund Posted: 08 Oct 2008 12:22 AM CDT The x factor judge Simon Cowell, has been heard pushing through the x factor finalists for a charity single to benefit the wounded troops. 12 finalists of the x factor, are to sing  Mariah Carey's 1993 hit Hero. You can see Mariah Carey singing Hero on this video. The 12 x factor finalists are scheduled to sing the song live on the Oct. 25th the x factor on ITV1. The single will be released Oct. 27.
