xfactor boys learn how to use makeup Posted: 02 Sep 2010 01:30 PM PDT xfactor makeup tips for the boys begins with eyeliner and mascara. eyeliner and mascara ad dramatic and intense looks that are very important to increase votes, and chances for xfactor hopeful contestants. with eyeliner and mascara, you can't tell which contestants are gay and which are straight. It kind of evens out the playing field, as last years very gay joe mcelderry did not come out, but still put out all the right messages. just how much of an advantage eyeliner and mascara gives to boys competing in the xfactor reality show, is yet to be seen. the boys do look better with makeup. | |||||

the x factor judge simon cowell clashes and slams BBC for timetabling overlap Posted: 02 Sep 2010 10:05 AM PDT It was the weekly dilemma for Saturday evening TV viewers. X Factor or Strictly Come Dancing? But this year, Simon Cowell is determined they won't have to choose. Attacking the BBC for last year's timetabling clash, Cowell, 50, said: 'Why would you want to put them on at the same time? That is nothing more than being actually pathetic, childish and doing a disservice to people who pay the licence fee. 'We don't pay the licence fee for people to play games with ratings. We gave [the BBC] the choice last year about different time slots but they have this obsession with competing.' This year's schedules have yet to be agreed - even though Strictly, where celebrities are paired with professional dancers, begins in nine days. Cowell, head judge on The X Factor, has called for talks with the BBC to find a solution. 'I think that we all have to try to play a part in this.' The BBC said the 2009 clash was unavoidable, as it is restricted by the Lottery, news and Match of the Day. But Cowell said: 'I would suggest they put it on a bit earlier in the afternoon because their audience is older.' TV insiders said there would be no overlap for Strictly's launch, which should be at 6.25pm. The X Factor is at 7.45pm. But sources say a clash will only be avoided as the Strictly launch show is shorter than normal episodes. |
